| The Regional Council labels THE CLUSTER PACA LOGISTIC |
Ever since it was created in 2001, the Club Provence Logistique - which gathers companies, professional associations and public bodies - has been active in the leadership and promotion of the logistics sector in the Western part of the PACA region. The success of this step and the General Council's will to facilitate – via PRIDES – the structuring of the leading sectors of the region and to assist the development of innovative and collaborativemoves, have led the Club to contemplate the extension of its actions and scope. That's why since early 2007 they have committed themselves to create a logistics centre that would reflect the strategic importance and the economic weight of this sector in the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region, by gathering together all the actors involved in this activity, whether directly or via their corporate responsibilities: companies, training and research organisations, institutions and authorities. |

| Interview with Robert Creus (Arles District Chamber of Commerce & Industry) |
All roads (also) lead to Arles! Rail, land, sea and river: 4 cardinal virtues for a geographic situation to be envied by everyone… with unequalled assets! The development of a four-mode logistics platform is logical and natural, it is now attracting companies and is the driving force behind an activity developed by the Arles district Chamber of Commerce & Industry around three themes: the port, La Crau Park logistics zone, and Distriport (in cooperation with the PAM (Port Authority of Marseille) ). Robert Creus, Industrial Site Development Prospecting manager in the Arles district Chamber of Commerce & Industry, describes the logistics future of the region for us… |
